MentorLink Program
Mentoring has been recognised as an important element in the continuing professional development of occupational therapists. The OT AUSTRALIA Qld MentorLink Program has the aim of providing mentoring support to occupational therapists who are members of OT AUSTRALIA Qld regardless of their geographical location or the focus of their clinical area of practice.
Members of OT AUSTRALIA Qld who would like the support of a mentor in their professional development are invited to participate in the program as a mentee.
Any OT AUSTRALIA Qld member, who is an experienced occupational therapist, is eligible to register as a mentor in MentorLink program.
Participants in the mentor program are eligible for CPD points in the OT AUSTRALIA National AccOT Program.
New improved website
The new MentorLink website has a fresh, new look and feel. “Tried and True” functions have been retained, some new functionality added and operating the website has been simplified.
So what’s new?
Your Log In has changed . . .
You will not need the User ID and Password that you used previously. Your User ID is now your email address and your Password will be your OT Australia Victoria/Queensland association membership number. All existing data has been retained, simply log on to http://www.mentorlinklounge.com to update your contact details and/or competencies via the My Account link.
As previously, non-members are welcome to participate, they should click on the Contact Us link on the website and we will issue you a unique Password.
Matching made easier . . .
Finding the right mentor is now even easier! Mentees can read a short biography on the potential mentor listing to help them select the person whose background and skills most closely match their own requirements.
A Forum for discussion . . .
Mentoring experiences and questions can be posted on the new website’s Forum page. Participants are encouraged to use this Forum to post comments, tips and ask questions of others using the program. This is a great opportunity to share your learning experiences!
