Organising a CPD Event
How do I organise a SIG/RG study day or workshop?
It’s easy! Firstly, as a group convenor, discuss with your SIG or regional group what you would like to do and which presenter/s you would like to take part in your event. Approach the presenters and discuss your ideas with them.
If your study day/workshop idea is not similar to any on OT AUSTRALIA Qld’s annual calendar of events for professional development, your next step is to contact the CPD Project Team via the OT AUSTRLIA Qld office to discuss your idea.
How does OT AUSTRLAIA QLD help me?
After discussing your ideas with the OT AUSTRALIA Qld CPD Project Team, a plan for the workshop is mapped out. At this point you agree to take on the responsibility of coordinating the workshop, in conjunction with OT AUSTRALIA Qld. The Association provides you with support, guidance, a budget, and a plan.
We also help you with marketing your event by giving you advertising space in the monthly newsletter and by placing the details of the workshop on the website. If events for next year are organised prior to November, they may be included in our calendar of events which is distributed with Membership renewals!
And that’s not all!! OT AUSTRALIA Qld can receive the study day/workshop registrations, provide receipts, name tags, lists of participants and pay any invoices. The Association may also be able to assist with collating workshop handouts.
